If you’ve got room, plant two pecan trees for lasting beauty, shade, and nuts every other year. Preferable pecans: Elliott, Cheyenne, Candy. Semitropical fruit like loquat and feijoa make wonderful landscape plants. North of McComb, plant them with protection from north wind. Both are delicious to eat and add unusual textures to every landscape. > more
